Information for Canada

Ontario Canada Fishing License – https://www.ontario.ca/page/fishing (Must purchase an outdoors card with a license.) Outdoors Card & 8 Day Non-Resident Sport Fishing License, $51.25 total Required Boat Safety Equipment – What Safety Equipment is Required on a Boat in Ontario? – National Boating Safety School According to Transport Canada, the following boat safety equipment is required for all motorized and sailing vessels no longer than 6 m.

One appropriately-sized life jacket or PFD that is approved for use in Canada for each person on board
A buoyant heaving line (floating rope) that’s at least 15 m long
A manual propelling device such as a paddle or an anchor with at least 15 m of rope, cable or chain
A bailer or manual water pump to get water out of the boat
A sound-signalling device such as a whistle to use in the event of an emergency
A waterproof flashlight or 3 flares
Navigation lights if you’re going out during the hours of darkness or in conditions with reduced visibility
A fire extinguisher if the vessel has an inboard motor, a fixed fuel tank or any fuel-burning appliances
A reboarding device such as a ladder if the boat rises more than 0.5 m out of the water
A magnetic compass if the boat is over 8 m long or out of sight of navigation markers

Additional equipment required for vessels between 6 and 9 m Vessels between 6 and 9 m long require all of the equipment listed above, with the following change: Both a waterproof flashlight and 6 flares

National Semi Final Tournament Information

Official off limits are from midnight on Sunday 9/6 to midnight on Tuesday 9/8. Practice days are Wednesday 9/9 to Friday 9/11 at 2pm. Tournament rules meeting is at 5pm. Meeting Location: Fisher Landing Fire Department 42038 County Road 195, Fishers Landing, NY 13641

Launch location – 250 Wahl Street Clayton, NY 13624 Ramp fee – $10 per day per boat Website – French Creek Marina – Full Service Marina & Campground | Clayton, NY Tournament limit – FIVE (5) fish per Angler/Boater and THREE (3) fish per Co-angler/Non-Boater, per day unless the prevailing state limit is less than these limits, or a special limit is established for a particular tournament by the Tournament Director. Twelve inch (12’) minimum length for both largemouth and smallmouth bass.

Needed personal documents – A passport is required if traveling to Canadian waters and you touch land or your boat anchors (rope anchor or power poles down).
