TBF of CT monthly meeting minutes of March 27, 2025 Present were: BioBass, Southeast, Northern, Fishing Crew Minutes from last meeting were accepted from all that were present. Treasures Report: Copies were giving to all present, a vote of acceptance was taking and passed. Dues are coming in, latest rounds of checks are to head out in the mail before the next meeting. Tournament Report: Keith indicated that he would be sending out an email to all members about getting applications for the first trail event in sooner rather than later, he will be out of town up until a few days prior to the tournament. The mailing cutoff date for that tournament is April 14th. Opens: The condition of the ramp at Squantz was discussed, last known the lake was several feet low, workers scheduled for that open were Jason M. Mike T. and Mark P. for 03/30/2025 If there were 20 or more boats, then a free entry would be issued to the fourth place finisher. Workers of the opens need to sign the weigh in sheet in the morning and in the afternoon as proof of attendance. Old Business: Fred brought forward the idea to have four possible lakes listed as possible locations for the 1 day qualifying tournament and have a two week off limits period prior to the qualifier. New Business: The September 29th open may need to be rescheduled due to the 2025 NSF (Lack or available workers). Keith put in a motion to do away with anglers working in advance for NSF dues. PASSED. Jim put in to motion that only 1 open worked in the fall counts toward NSF obligations, meaning anglers will have to work another open in the spring or summer. PASSED. It was discussed and decided the Louis and Nick do not need to fulfill 2024 NSF obligations due to their absence for the tournament. Jim received an email regarding sponsorships, the brief overview was a discount code for TH Marine, Minnkota and Hummingbird have benchmarks in place for varying levels of membership. Cabela's is a continued sponsor. Hook and Arrow hot sauce spoke with Jim about a potential sponsorship. Nick is actively working on the website for executive board members. There was talk of a page for selling and trading gear. Talk of E-board meetings for January possibly done via zoom or google meetings. Jim was working on TBF cards to handout to people, as well as having a monitor at events to play fishing videos to draw people in. Talk of involving youth groups a potential bank derby and getting a feel for those who want to be boat captains.
