TBF of CT monthly meeting minutes of June 23, 2025 Present were: BioBass, Southeast, Northern, Fishing Crew 6:36pm Minutes from last meeting were accepted from all that were present. Treasures Report: At the time of the meeting we had a positive income after payouts from opens, trail events and national dues. Keith has money to add to that total. Tournament Report: Third trail event was held June 1st on Lilli, Ryan C. took the win with 18.08lbs on the boater side and Rob I. took the win on the co-angler side with 10.55lbs. Opens: Our June 14th tournament had 10 boats. Next open is July 13th, Jim, Sam and Lee are scheduled to work that open. Old Business: Nationals is pushing for our numbers to reach 50 (our current number is 43). There was discussion amongst those present about signing up family members to get the number to 50, information on those people were collected to be used. New Business: The votes for the 2026 NSF location were tallied and the Saint Lawrence River was voted as the competition location with 9 votes, Champlain with 5 votes, Winni with 4 votes and Cayuga with 1 vote. The specific launching location was discussed, possibly locations include Clayton, Ogdensburg and Massena or Waddington. We are currently facing an issue with an imbalance of boaters and non boaters for the 2025 NSF, Keith brought up the point that there needs to be a protocol set in place to either boaters or non boaters depending of which field has to many. There was an at length discussion about how to keep the decision making process as even as possible. It was decided that for the 2025 NSF those who need to be cut from the team would come from the bottom positions of the trail qualifiers and the bottom of the 2 day qualifiers (alternating lists with each angler that needs to be removed until the correct amount is reached.) A coin flip was conducted to decide what list would be cut from first and which list would receive the first non boaters that signup to fill the open spots. The results of the flip were that the last angler to qualify from the trail would be cut first and the first non boater would go to the first 2 day boater who needs a pair. It was agreed by the board that the buy in fee for the needed non boaters will be waved. It was discussed that we mandate pairs in order to fish the 2 day, to avoid uneven numbers. The 4 possible lakes for the 2025 2 day were selected, one from each "region" of the state. The four potential fishing locations are Twin, Mansfield Hollow, Lilli or Beach Pond. Keith talked about pulling permits for this bodies of water on the same day to reduce the chance of an issue. Jim will send out an email about a bulk order for Crush City and THMarine products. 8:05pm Submitted Respectfully, Paul Bossardet TBF of CT secretary.
