TBF of CT monthly meeting minutes of February 24, 2025 Present were: BioBass, Southeast, Northern, Fishing Crew Minutes from last meeting were accepted from all that were present. Treasures Report: Copies were giving to all present, a vote of acceptance was taking and passed. We are behind this year on the rate at which dues are coming in. Tournament Report: Permits for the opens have been submitted. The October 12th permit needs to be adjusted for correct time. Paul was made the mail in contact for open registrations, Jim, Paul and Lee will coordinate with each other for running opens until a new opens Director is found. First two opens permits and the first trail event permits have been approved. 2025 trail applications are complete, and the opens payout scale has been adjusted for 80% payback to top 3 finishers and fourth place would receive a free entry to a future open (this certificate would only be available if there are a certain number of boats at that tournament. and the free entry would only be valid for a certain amount of time.) A reminder email will be sent out to prior to the first trail event reminding those planning to fish to get their applications in sooner rather than later. Old Business: Jim talked about having two table top displays ready for the Mohegan sun show, possibly for the Cabela's event March 8th and 9th. Volunteers for the event were as follows- Saturday 10-1 Mike Talaga and Eric Baba. Saturday 1-5 Lee Tracy. Sunday 10-1 Jim Johnson and Paul Bossardet. Sunday 1-5 Jeff Masako. The question about any federation sponsorships was asked, Jim said he would have to look into it more. New Business: A date and location for the one day qualifier was asked, it was discussed that the location of the tournament would be left as a surprise, as to give an even playing field to all those wishing to compete. The date of the tournament was discussed and the Saturday of Oct. 18th was found to work the best but nothing was finalized. There was also talk of ways to grow the federation participation, Nick indicated that an Instagram account would be created to try and promote the activities of the federation to draw more attention and more participation. Submitted Respectfully, Paul Bossardet TBF of CT secretary.
