TBF of CT monthly meeting minutes of January 27, 2025 Present were: BioBass, Southeast, Northern, Fishing Crew A call for all members who have not submitted their dues to do so ASAP. The proposed 2025 NSF changes were brought to a vote by all present members. Results of the voting were as follows: All trail anglers are eligible to qualify for the NSF (no declaration before the first trail tournament) PASSED Increase Boater entry fee to $80.00 PASSED Increase Non boater entry fee to $40.00 PASSED $17.50 from boater entry fee and $8.50 from non boater entry fee will go to NSF qualifier pool. PASSED It was voted that boaters and non boaters who qualify for NSF via the trail will NOT have to make up the difference at the end of the season. vote was 10 to 2 NSF qualifying tournament entry fee will be $100 no discounts. PASSED Buy-in fee for NSF will be $100 no discounts. PASSED Top finishers from the trail in rankings 2-7 from overall pints will occupy positions 1-6. Top 2 finishers from NSF Qualifying tournament will take positions 7 and 8. Club buy-ins will be first come first serve for positions 9-12. If there are not enough anglers for qualify for NSF the method to fill those vacant positions will be in the order of: 1. Anglers who did not qualify through the trail 2. The NSF Qualifier tournament 3. Individual Buy-ins All funds from TBF Opens will support the NSF qualifiers and National qualifiers. PASSED. Proposed tournament rule #11 the use of "active target" "forward facing sonar" be prohibited during any NSF qualifying tournaments. DID NOT PASS Buy-in are eligible for reimbursement at both the NSF and national levels PASSED National qualifiers will receive up to a stipend of $700 for the boater and $300 for non boater. Those who qualify for nationals from the trail will receive $300 for the boater and $200 for the non boater as assistance for the $1000 entry fee. The remaining $500 will be paid b the boater ($300) and non boater ($200) PASSED Collected NSF funds will be divided between boaters and non boaters at a rate of 60% to boaters and 40% to non boaters after the necessary funds for National qualifiers has been deducted. Vote: 7 to 6 with Fred breaking the tie. PASSED By Law Proposals The TBF general fund must maintain a balance of $2,500 designated as a reserve for emergency purchases. Passed The executive board reserves the right to transfer funds between accounts in the event of an emergency, subject to vote approval at the regular TBF meetings. Passed Any new member joining TBF for the first time will have their STATE membership dues waived for the first year, they will still be required to pay the TBF national dues. Passed Old Business: CT fishing show is MARCH 21, 22 and 23 signups are available (contact AMY) ways of acceptable payment were discussed (If you collect $50.00 national dues, have the new member fill out an application, take a picture and send to Amy.) LET AMY KNOW WHO YOU COLLECT FROM!!!! Dates for the 2025 trail were discussed. it was voted that the August tournament will be held on the CT river out of Haddam Meadows. New Business: New officers were voted in by the present members.
